Our Honeymoon

I can say with complete honesty and sincerity that I have never had a more wonderful week in my entire life.
Bliss, I tell you!
I was in a beautiful place with my most favorite person in the world and we were married and ALONE!!!

We went to Jamaica and stayed at the all inclusive Sandals resort. Everywhere you looked there was something beautiful to enjoy. The food and service were amazing. Every meal was a dining experience.

This is a picture of the island that is part of the resort. The beautiful building you see is their Thai restaurant. A special boat takes you over at night and you get to enjoy an amazing meal with synchronized service. More on that later...

Picturesque. This is Jamaica, mon. We bought some lovely bracelets and a shark tooth necklace for B. He asked us to bring him one back and we just prayed that we'd be able to find one and we did!

Paul has a great eye for photography. This was right outside our room.

It thrills me to say...my husband. If you only knew how wonderful he is...

This is the boat that takes you across to the private island restaurant.

Paul enjoying some beautifully presented Thai food.

The restaurant has no walls. It is just a pavilion of sorts, but lovely.

Exploring the island after dinner.

Our resort from the front, actually taken from our balcony.

Beach bums

We got to take a shuttle over to the other Sandals resort and have dinner one night. We went to an open air Italian restaurant.

This was the view from our table. No windows! The beautiful beach is just to the right of this. It didn't turn out in the pictures though.

Paradise

One day we were strolling down the beach and we noticed these beautiful little shells. We thought, what great souvenirs! So we started collecting them and once we had a nice little handful I noticed something. The handful of shells were moving. Much to my surprise, these shells were homes to tiny little crabs! So sorry little crabs!

We did end up finding quite a few vacant shells and have a very nice collection!

Constant entertainment for us!

Paul and I went sailing on this boat. Fun times!

Thanksgiving Day there was a special celebration. The night started with a parade, led by a Jamaican marching band. This was not an ordinary band as you can imagine. It was Jamaican style, mon!

All the guests fell in behind the band as they passed by. Here we are in the parade. The band led us all to the beach where they had a glorious buffet set up, complete with crab, roasted pig, lobster on the grill, etc. Yum!

On the beach enjoying the music, view and food.

The next day it was time to go home. Sad, so sad to leave!!!!
It was a trip we will never forget!!

New Blog, New Life

I hate it that so much time has gone by since my last post. There have been so many exciting things, so many joys, so much learned. It's been beyond words...the joy that this last month has held. I thought with a new life, so to speak, that we needed a new blog. My last blog was committed to journaling about the journey from Egypt into the desert. The journey that I had not been given any notice that I was going to take. It was like an exit from my homeland in the middle of the night, with only seconds to grab that things most important to me. I was ussered out into this dry and foreign land, not knowing where I was going. But even though I had not been given time to prepare, I was prepared. God gave me grace when I needed it, in that very moment. It was a miraculour thing to experience, knowing that it was all God's doing. But...that is all history now it seems. Because I have reached a place that is a blessing. I have reached a place flowing with milk and honey. It is a place where broken dreams have been restored ten fold and hurts are being mended. I keep wondering if it is all too good to be true. And then I remember. God is capable of doing exceedingly and abudantly more than we ever think or imagine. This is what that feels like. I am living in His exeeding blessing over my life, His abundant grace. What's so overwhelming is that I DO NOT deserve this! That's why God is so exceedingly good!

So, here's to a new blog, a new life, a new start and a new little family.
